Unfortunately 2012 BlizzCon is cancelled! Blizzard in a short press release stated that the cancellation of this years BlizzCon has nothing to do with World Of Warcraft's continuously dropping subscription numbers. They claim that at this point they have nothing new and exciting to show to the Blizzard enthusiasts and they chose to put all their efforts in finalizing Diablo III, World of Warcraft's new expansion "Mists of Pandaria" and Starcraft 2 expansion "Heart Of The Swarm".

We're also heavily focused on getting Diablo III, Mists of Pandaria, and Heart of the Swarm into players’ hands as soon as possible. In light of our jam-packed schedule, we’ve decided to hold the next BlizzCon in 2013.

Instead of BlizzCon 2012, Blizzard will host the 2012 Battle.net Championship in Asia
